Hey there — I’m Shakai “Kai” Levine, a Brooklyn-born actor, singer, and storyteller with a passion for making people feel something real. My journey started in elementary school talent shows and high school theatre rehearsals, where I fell in love with the craft of performance and the power of connection. I trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), where I honed my skills in acting, voice, and movement, and embraced my versatility across stage and screen. Whether I’m diving into a soulful musical number, delivering a heartfelt monologue, or bringing comedic energy to the room, I’m always chasing the truth of the moment. Some roles from the past include Dreamgirls (Curtis), Newsies (Crutchie), In the Heights (Usnavi), How to Succeed (J. Finch), Something Rotten (William Shakespeare), She Loves Me (Georg), Hamilton (Alexander Hamilton), and Aladdin (Aladdin). You might have also seen me in Mean Girls and a few Law & Order SVU episodes as background. I’m driven, grounded, and creatively curious, here to tell stories that reflect the world around us — especially the voices and experiences that don’t always get center stage.
